Goodies Bag!

Last week, things got a bit crazy at the mall. I was looking for some below-the-knee dresses ,which I came to acknowledge, are impossible to find. I end up buying one cute little dress (above the knee) and more cute little thingies.

So, my shopping spree end up like this.

The dress is a black cotton cutie with the front in 'broderie anglaise'. I bought also a comfortable tank top in pink cotton.
Primark Black Dress - 7€ | Primark Top - 1.5€

Well, I'm a serious collector. And one of my growing collections is teacups and mugs. I found this beauty and had to bring it home. The lavender candle smells like heaven!
Primark 'Home Sweet Home' mug - 2€ | Primark Lavender Candle - 1€

Best buy ever. These remind me of times when I was a kid, with my little curly hair, cute dresses and these on my feet. I feel like 5 again!
Primark 'Vintage' styled black sandals - 13€

Thanks to Kiko's sales, I've upgraded my nail polish collection. They have a wide range of nail polishes at 1€ only - but if you take 10, you pay only 7€. I'm crazy, but NOT that crazy. So, I shared this promotion with my sister Maggie (from Black Rose). We both got home 5 nail polishes each, and payed the sexy amount of 3.5€ each. That's a deal! Oh and yes, I'm aware that are only 4 polishes in the picture. More on that later :)

Old Fashion Orange Cake

I'm not a baker or a cooker per say, but I really enjoy spending some time in the kitchen, trying new stuffs. This one is nothing new, just a simple Orange Cake, perfect for long nights under a blanket with a cup of tea. And I really was craving for some homemade cake.

One thing also about my cooking - I need to work on the presentation. My cakes or food always end up being super ugly - but I can assure you, they taste goddamn good!

The recipe is simple as peaches - and I will leave it here, in english and portuguese. EVERYONE TO THE KITCHEN!

Orange Cake
  • 1 cup of sugar (I used yellow sugar)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Half cup of milk
  • Juice and zest of 2 oranges
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Whisk the eggs with the sugar - add the butter and combine until creamy. Add the milk, zest and juice of oranges. Finally, add the flour with the baking powder to the batter.
Heat the oven to 180 º C and let it bake for about 50 to 60 minutes.
Ease the cake from the sides of the tin with a knife before trying to remove it from the tin.

Suggestion : You can poke the cake with a toothpick or fork and pour orange juice over the top, so that the cake will absorb the juice and be all humid.

Bolo de Laranja

  • 1 caneca de açúcar (usei amarelo)
  • 3 ovos
  • 2colheres de sopa de manteiga derretida
  • Meia caneca de leite
  • raspa e sumo 2 laranjas

Now, grab a slice, make some hot tea, sit back and enjoy it! :)

I'm not a fan of Summer. But yeah, every once in a while, it kinda tastes good to go out with less clothes on and lighter shoes.

For June, here's my picks:

Black Lace Kimono from Jane Norman
Sunglasses from EBAY
Buffalo Skull Bag from EBAY

Leopard flat sandals from EBAY
Dawn v2 Tee from Hard Times Clothing

I can't wait to have those sandals with me!
